Hello,Thank you for taking the time to contact the CrossFire Support team with your feedback regarding the current hacker situation.
I understand your concern about hackers in the game. Nobody likes a hacker in our matches because it detracts the fun, fairness and enjoyment from everyone in the game. However, we can only see what we find, if players are able to help us find hackers or other players that are breaking the rules, we would be more readily able to take actions against them.
A "hack free" game is a game that is sought by every developer, however, that is a very hard task to do. While no game is made WITH hacks planned, there are very wily individuals who take pleasure in creating such programs. Our Hackshield program does what it is intended to do, it blocks out recognized programs. However, as it does this, the same people who made the original hack, updates their program to bypass our Hackshield and in turn, we update ours. It is a long and never ending struggle, as there is no "quick fix" to getting rid of these programs.
As with the police, just because they have the power to get rid of crime, it doesn't make society free of it. It's the duties of us as GM's and as players to report the hackers so that justice may be done. Without the eyes and ears of our player base, we won't be able to readily deal with the things which that we cannot see. There are a lot more players then there are GMs, and though we are out looking for trouble situations, having our players as our eyes and ears makes finding the perpetrators and taking action on them a whole lot easier and helps make for a better game over all. The hacking investigation team reviews every hacking report. Depending on the amount of reported hackers at the same time, this process can take longer than usual. I hope that you are able to understand this more from our perspective.
If you want to help us finding hackers very quick and efficient, and want to report a player who you suspect has an unfair advantage, please simply follow the instructions in the forum posthttp://forum.z8games.com/showthread.php?t=89077.
In order to take full action against hackers we must analyze the evidence in the form of replays. Match replays can be saved in CrossFire by clicking the "Save" button on the results screen after the match is over, or any time you leave a match. Once the file is saved it will appear in your "C:\Users\username\Documents\CrossFire\Replay" folder (by default). You can then fill out a hack submission form and upload the replay file to us via our support site.
Please log into www.z8games.com and then go to http://support.z8games.com/ to submit a hack report. On the left side of the screen you will see "Hacking Report", please click on it to submit a new hacking report.
Note that only reports with replays will be considered and that your report will go into the queue to be reviewed by us. We cannot guarantee the outcome of your report immediately. Please make sure that the name of the person you accuse of hacking is correct, otherwise we won't be able to properly review the hack report.
