Yanpei, last semester I took Organizational Behavior. In the course text and lectures presented, the course materials introduced the theories of difference between High and Low Context cultures, China being considered a high context culture. What we learned was the social and economical negotiating process measured the merit of business negotiating. I hope thi fusing, I will try to simplify what I mean. In a High context business culture, family type values and norms are the first steps to the negotiating process. The lectures and course materials on blackboard taught us when Western Business Travelers began traveling to China and other Asian countries, they had difficulty in the social and economical aspects of the business negotiation.
