Hello there,
We have received multiple reports of players with experiences similar to your own. The information below has been useful in resolving their issues and gathering additional information to further troubleshoot. Please be sure to read this message in its entirety before carrying out any steps. However, I have not been able to verify the account with the information provided so far. Please provide as much of the below information as possible.
• What are the names of any characters (and the server they are on) that you are hoping to recover?
• List all possible emails that you would have used on the NC Account.
• Does anyone you know have your password?
• What is the country/city where the account was first created?
• Did you login your account outside the country? If yes, please specify the country.
• Did you recently change the email of your account?
A temporary block was placed on the account because the account was suspected to have been compromised. The block was intended to prevent any additional damage to the account and also to restrict the account from being used for illicit activities without your consent/knowledge. Once we have confirmed that the account is secured, the temporary block will be lifted and access to the account will be restored.
Our review indicates that the most likely reason the attacker was attempting to gain access to the account, is because the email account associated with the NC account may be compromised. Before unblocking the account, I would like to confirm that the email account is secured so the account is not compromised again in the future.
Please read and follow the directions below to secure the account:
Scan your computer for any malicious software that may be stealing your login information. For tips on how to secure your computer, go to: https://support.bladeandsoul.com/hc/en-us/articles/206336905-Security-FAQ
Change the password for your email account. For tips on how to reset your password, go to: https://support.bladeandsoul.com/hc/en-us/articles/205637399-How-do-I-re-set-my-NC-Account-password-
Check your email account setting to ensure you do not have emails auto-forwarded without your knowledge or consent.
Update the NC account password.
If you are UNABLE to do step 4, PROCEED steps 5 and 6.
Create a new email account and do not link it to any NC account.
Submit a new email using the NCSOFT emails linked below as recipients with the new email account and reference this ticket number (#5955914) in the subject line.
If you have a smartphone, I recommend using an email service that uses two step authentications.
