Attention Z8Gamers,
Today we are pleased to announce new measures implemented for creating new Z8Games Accounts.
Our community has spoken, and we have listened. As we had previously discussed, starting today, we will be limiting the number of Z8Games accounts that can be created by a computer to prevent abuse and prevent malicious users from entering our game.
In order to enforce these rules and keep CrossFire clean, free and enjoyable for our legitimate users we will be disabling a computer(s) ability to create accounts on Z8Games if they are found breaking our Terms of Use.
This includes, but is not limited to just hackers. As we enforce our Terms of Use for racism, negative attitude, spam, plus breaking of our Forum Rules and misbehavior on our Social Networks etc.
From now on we will be mapping data from devices that create new Z8Games accounts, this data is anonymous and never includes personal information. This is hardware data obtained at the time of account creation and is only used for investigation of legitimate machines making accounts and will never be shared for commercial or personal use.
If you do not agree with the above new measures then we would ask you to uninstall CrossFire NA and cease the use of your Z8Games account.
To help answer some basic questions here is a simple FAQ.
If I am a legitimate user how does this affect me?
It does not. You have nothing to worry about being a legitimate user of CrossFire.
I can't make an account because I failed to pass the scans. What do I do?
Legitimate computers will never fail a scan. We do not allow new accounts to be created from Proxy's, VPN's, or by using browsers or systems which circumvent or attempt to prevent the hardware scan. If we cannot properly scan the device then we will not allow the creation of an account.
What about accounts currently active in the game?
Hardware scans currently only apply to new accounts. However in the future we will be inviting all CrossFire users to register their accounts. This will then allow us to hand out bigger and better rewards to only our most legitimate players.
What is being scanned?
We will not be listing the full information on the process, this is to maintain legitimacy and to prevent abuse. It scans the anonymous hardware information of your computer. This information is used ONLY for the verification process of making a new account. This information is not shared or distributed.
We expect to see positive outcomes from this over time. While this system doesn't eliminate hackers immediately, it prevents hackers from making new accounts and coming in to the game as we go forward.
As an example, we have already stopped today plenty of hack bots making more than 3 accounts per day, and we have already seen some new accounts been banned for hacking and will have difficult times making new accounts.
We would like to invite you all to share this with your friends and family. This new system is important to remember as creating new accounts on Z8Games now comes with added importance that this may be your only account! If you get banned, you will not be able to make new accounts. |
